I am really enjoying seeing your little recommendations lately, marvingray. You seem to be bumping some great looking movies that are on my watch list.

Oh, and here's the chance for me to say thank you to ghost for the upgrade. I originally thanked starfish for ghost's upload (I must have scrolled past starfish's stash of screenshots and ended on the next emule link!)

Yeah, I hope i'm not ruffling any feathers with the bumps here and there I just like sharing when I find something particularly good. Granted, my taste isn't going to be everyone elses.

Best I've watched lately:

Ulvepigen Tinke, The Innocents(Not Innocence), Heinähattu ja Vilttitossu (2002) was cute, Systemsprenger, My Queen Karo, The Unloved, I rewatched I Kill Giants because I saw Madison Wolfe in The Conjuring 2 and it was even better than I remember although she was cuter in The Conjuring 2.

Anyway, I highly recommend this one if you like somewhat chill coming of age films about a pampered little girl going to stay in the country side(and why wouldn't you??)

edit but Ghost or Night457(or whoever all the mods and admins are) feel free to tell me if I bump too much!

Your list of recent favorites includes some of the best and/or most popular movies here. Certainly as you say people can have different tastes, but they would be the ones out of step. And that's just fine.

Absolutely NOT. That brings movies to the attention of other members who may not have heard of them. Otherwise, the movies might be posted and then forgotten. Also it is always good to hear when someone is enthusiastic about a movie.

From what I've seen, they are pretty friendly to bumping old threads around here. Some of the treasures of FLM lie buried in old threads and contain many great movies that likely have upgrades easily available, and no one is likely to see them unless they dig around. And as Night mentioned, it brings up great material for other members. Often enough, when I see a bump for a movie that I downloaded awhile ago, I also see a little resurgence of interest in emule with noticeable amount of new downloaders.

I'd say bump away, especially if you're going to leave little reviews or recommendations in them.

To a certain point, I agree. Bringing forgotten treasures from ten years ago (or more) back into the spotlight can be nice, especially for newer members who never saw them and older members who may be able to add upgraded versions.

Occasionally though, you get new members who do a lot of bumping. Usually a combination of reshare requests and a desire to look like they're participating, run up a respectable post count, you know. But if you have bumps in every category, every day, new releases hardly spend any time at the top. Within hours they're down on line 4 and a lot of people may miss them. You can have too much of a good thing!

If I'm going to bump an old movie I usually pick a board whose most recent post ... isn't so recent. Maybe find one or two old threads that look especially promising and send them to the front just to see what happens.

As for me, I am personally just here to share and discuss films and everything I post in I am actively sharing, I don't have a meaningful post count over the (approaching) year I've been posting here, anyway.

Just a friendly suggestion for those that don't know, you can always click "quick links" and check new posts / active topics to quickly sort for new content.

I click "Unread posts". Once a thread with a new(er) post is opened, it counts as "read". It does not take me long to decide if the thread actually interests me. Of course as a Mod I am looking to see if I need to change a Request to a Release or some such.

Thanks a lot for this. Coming of age movies are just so surreal.
