[REL] Feriengewitter DEFA (1989)
[REL] Feriengewitter DEFA (1989)
I found this on my searches and as far as I can tell it has not been released here before. It is a good quality rip.
Summer holidays are beginning for 13 yo Daniel, a boy from East Berlin. He does not know yet that his parents are going to get divorced. They are afraid of Daniel´s reaction, so they have not told him about their decision until now.
Together they drive to a village in the mountains. There Daniel finally recognises the truth about his parents marital problems. When Daniel has an accident, this brings his parents together again, at least for the moment...
Not just a boy movie unless you count Sandra Puhlmann who plays a Tomboy.

Re: [REL] Feriengewitter DEFA (1989)
Hi Sprocket and thanks for that. The site you showed is all actors I think so this would lead me to believe this is predominently a BM - would that be a fair assumption ?
I a well short of disk space so going to let my friend DB advise on whether this is in my sphere.

I wouldn't say this is predominantly a Boy movie as Sandra Puhlmann who plays Lucie is given second billing and plays a significant role throughout the film.

Looks like this one features my favorite type of boy: a tomboy! (note: in a secondary but important and considerable role)
Was digging around some DEFA movies and found some things for this release, Feriengewitter aka Holiday Thunderstorm.

Like this post to see ed2k links [1.88 Gb] - I am currently trying to get this one. Emule says there's a 100% complete source available, but I haven't connected yet or I could be waiting in line. Could this originate from the venerable mr. ghost?
DVD5 at uloz: https://ulozto.net/file/vlFG8R9BNKvI/fe ... 9-dvd5-zip
https://solidtorrents.eu/search?q=Feriengewitter - There are a few torrents of interest, but all have zero seeders. Unsure if they're long dead, but I am giving them a try.
Never heard of this one before, of course, but I am willing to give most DEFA films a try.

Thank you to the kind individual who sourced the 720p file to me over emule. It looks and sounds pretty great!

She's the one climbing up the window. What a great tomboy so far!
When starting up the file, you are immediately greeted with a groovy, upbeat German electronic opening tune! Sometime you can always count on the Germans for, especially for this era (and earlier!) Cool music continues throughout movie.
Someone is seeding the 2.17gb HDTV file to me over torrent atm. I'll give an update on that one soon, hopefully!

OK, no kidding... I recorded this from German TV some time ago.
