[REL] Tiger Bay (1959)

Post by jwsmith88 »   5 likes

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053361/

12 year old Gillie witnesses a Polish Sailor killing his girlfriend and manages to get hold of the gun. When the police question her about the gun, she concocts stories which only get her deeper into trouble.

Staring Hayley Mills

From my considerable archives. Didn't find this one in the UK Section or with the search.

She made her film debut in 1959 at the age of 13 in the film Tiger Bay in which she played the part of a frightened young witness. Her father played the lead in this film. For this part she received an award at the Berlin Film Festival and was signed by Walt Disney on a five-year contract.

Well, if you've a considerable archive, I may need another HD. I love these old films.

Thanks jwsmith88.

I would have thought this file would already be on eMule, I have had this exact one (at least going by length) since 2005 (from WinMX probably). That's one of the things one has to learn about releasing: if there is a copy already out there with sources it's usually better to verify it's decent quality and release it rather than sourcing everything yourself, it helps keep files alive and redircts your bandwidth to where it can do the most good.

But I am not sure he has eMule really figured out yet, I only need to download one of his releases but that one has been sitting there with no sources at all for a day and a half at this point. Patience :)

I was drawn to search for this movie after reading the 'Whistle Down the Wind' thread where I noticed that ART referred to THAT movie as 'AKA: Tiger Bay' which is a minor faux pas I know but it made me pull THIS movie up. Then I stumbled across THIS odd little conundrum:

Maybe I'm missing something that's hidden in 'jwsmith88's' history here but surely ghost must realize that jw was talking about searching for the movie at 'FLM' [..UK Section..] and not eMule as a whole..

In which case jw was right; 'Tiger Bay' had NOT been posted at the time, so he provided a link. Maybe [like me in the past] he wasn't sharing out that well, but he was doing what he could..

Again, I know this is a very moot point I'm beating with a stick, but just clearing it up that jw was indeed referring to FLM and not eMule as a whole in his comment.. lol

Thanks to kev for leading me here from the Tibra rel thread. Here are a couple of links I found for HD upgrades:

https://1337x.to/torrent/4699908/Tiger- ... -Classics/ - 1.66gb, 1080p, says there's 10 seeders. Havent tried downloading this one yet.

https://rarbgweb.org/torrents.php?imdb=tt0053361 - still awaiting seeder for for 2.04gb torrent

https://yts.do/movie/Tiger-Bay-1959/ - haven't tried downloading yet, unsure of seeder count

https://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5423038 - 11.43gb, says there's 6 seeders. I dunno if I'll go for this size.

And finally an emule link:

Like this post to see ed2k links  [1.94 Gb] - unverified, but this has 7 sources, claims to be an HDrip in title, but uses xvid, which I don't know if I've ever seen associated with HD rips. Who knows. Otherwise appears to have Spanish and English audio, so it may be good.
