Michael and Beth are twins with a special ability they call "The Power". They can communicate without speaking , levitate objects, and even raise the dead. When their father is attacked by a group of bikers loitering in his hot tub, the twins can't use their power to help him out of fear that "the men in suits" will come take them away once they're found out. After watching their father being shot, stabbed and beaten, they decide to use "the power" to ask daddy for help one last time, by raising him from the dead and sending him out to unleash zombie revenge on the biker gang that killed him.

Notable for pop-singer Fabian in the title role, cute kids but very little else..........I'm not expecting a stampede over this.
Not my rip although I've played a bit to sharpen up the image. Average quality VHS rip. Usual thanks to the originator.

I'm stampeding, I'm stampeding. Clearing up disk space ruthlessly.
Re: [REL] Kiss Daddy Goodbye (1981)
Don't hold your breath.......it's not that good! I seriously wondered whether to release this but was influenced by rarity & the starring of Fabian who I remember as being a bit of a heart-throb singer at the time. Crap actor mind you! 'He remembers 1981?'.....that must make me an old fart

Why the fuck do they produce movies like this except think they can turn a buck.loverboy wrote:Don't hold your breath.......it's not that good!

Quite simply they're produced for children. Have you ever had any Amadeus? Very popular type of movie around Christmas. I'll be releasing my fair share of them but will do the decent thing & wait until December arrives

Hmmm, let's see. I get off collecting rare exotic childhood films.. Soooo... Nope.loverboy wrote:Quite simply they're produced for children. Have you ever had any Amadeus?
Anyway, my comment was not directed at you loverboy, just at an industry that plagiarizes other ideas to turn a buck.
Re: [REL] Kiss Daddy Goodbye (1981)
It wasn't taken as being directed at me, simply that you'd chosen one of the arguably better kid's movies to criticise. Yes of course the industry exploits simply to line their own pockets but if you'd ever tried to entertain children during holiday season with typical British weather you'd be thankful for a bit of exploitation.Amadeus wrote:Anyway, my comment was not directed at you loverboy, just at an industry that plagiarizes other ideas to turn a buck.

Why do they make most movies? Because people like them and are willing to pay.Amadeus wrote:Why the fuck do they produce movies like this except think they can turn a buck.

Funny you mention this one, just the other day I IMDBed Kim Richards because she unexpectedly showed up in something I saw here (to verify it was really her), and the headline said she'd have a cameo in the sequel scheduled for release next year. Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjVgR7WQkIM

I suppose you haven't seen this one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112985/ If you thought the 1975 one was bad....Amadeus wrote:Hmmm, let's see. I get off collecting rare exotic childhood films.. Soooo... Nope.loverboy wrote:Quite simply they're produced for children. Have you ever had any Amadeus?

We don't collect them, but we do watch them hoping to come across forgotten gems, and those we collect.
