May I remark that this is a Polish movie!
Re: [REL] Buleczka (1973)
hmm good point! wonder why RFF listed the Finnish title as an AKA i.e. not my fault, lolidler wrote:May I remark that this is a Polish movie!
Re: [REL] Buleczka (1973)
New to RFF? Or to the acronym "AKA"? RFF lists Dakota Fanning's "Man on Fire" as "Aka: Гнев (Russia)". Would you post it as as Russian movie? IMDB regularly posts aliases also.Rich wrote:hmm good point! wonder why RFF listed the Finnish title as an AKA i.e. not my fault, lolidler wrote:May I remark that this is a Polish movie!
This movie has been released before at FLM. By ghost.

Because the L has a funny accent it's not easily searchable, but a search at FLM did turn up an ARTHORIUS thread referring to it as a release. Using the link idler posted (which is searchable on FLM). The lesson is that if you post a movie with accents it helps the search if you also post the unaccented title in your post as an AKA. (Then search picks it up. Google does this automatically, FLM does not.)
Because of the search difficulty I'll make this thread a REL and move the old one to the Graveyard. One comment from that thread deserves to be copied though:
infiniter wrote:If I may write a review: I like cute kids, but this girl doesn't even look like one. The movie is boring, but may contain some funny lyrics which most of us won't understand because of the polish. The scenes which might be of interest are not considered by me to be on-topic.
But, this is only my opinion. There are lots of other movies around which are far better.

LOL...i think that perhaps without long hair infiniter can't tell a girl from a boy. this movie is OT from several perspectives
decent enough copy to watch, if someone could find an upgrade that would be very nice

Buleczka aka Muffin
Thanks to all who brought this here.
I don't know why infiniter didn't like this film - I enjoyed it. The little girl was a real sweetie and I laughed when she sprayed everything including her aunt when she was taking a bath and when the fireman breaks the window and hoses the lady (as you can tell, this is slapstick comedy suitable for kids). Katarzyna Dąbrowska (Bronia) had almost 100% screen time and there were several OT scenes of her and her cousin.Bunnie (as in the buns you eat, not baby rabbits) is sent by train from her foster home in a small village to live with her aunt and uncle in a big city. She is delighted to find that she also has a cousin. Unfortunately, Darina is a lonely and sickly child, cared for mostly by the housekeeper, and she resists Bunnie's efforts to be friendly. Soon, the bright and talkative girl manages to win over her cousin and uncle.

.
OLD
NEW:
Picture size is nearly identical to the original release - 720x564 (original) compared to 720x576 (new) - but the color quality increase is apparent.
