36 fillette (1988)

Lili, a pouty and voluptuous 14-year-old (played by sixteen-year-old Delphine Zentout), is caravan camping with her family in Biarritz. She's self-aware and holds her own in a café conversation with a concert pianist she meets, but she has a wild streak and she's testing her powers over men, finding that she doesn't always control her moods or actions, and she's impatient with being a virgin.

She sets off with her brother to a disco, latching onto an aging playboy who is himself hot and cold to her. She is ambivalent about losing her virginity that night, willing the next, and determined by the third. The playboy's mix of depression and misogyny ends their unconsummated affair, so Lili has to hunt elsewhere.

Don't be silly. You bet that all commentaries were made in the first 2 years after posting. Then there was a server crash in February 2006. ghost reconstructed only the release, not the answers!

Fox Lorber says it all. If I remember correctly, their releases of "Ponette" and "Beau-Pere" weren't much better. That's what I meant with "early US releases of European movies" yesterday :(

Another one like that was [REL] PETITS FRERES (1999). In fact the last message in that thread is me saying I'd post the subs... oops. That was before I saw they were hardcoded and I couldn't do anything with them without investing a bunch of time (which I was unwilling do for that film).

I don't know who did the DVD, though.

i came across that 'Breillat boxset' reference before, which raised my hopes and initiated another long fruitless search.
this was definitely shown on uk tv years ago,so i'm quite sure there is a good copy somewhere.
