[REL] Up in the Cherry Tree (1984) [Bulgaria]
Up in the Cherry Tree (1984) - Gore na chereshata
[Image]
The action takes place during the summer holidays in a city quarter where the new blocks of flats are still surrounded by a few old houses, which still have cherry trees in the yard. The loft of one such house serves as secret hideout of group of young children. Living close-by is the well-known violinist Mincho Minchev (who plays himself in the film) with whom the children communicate well than with their own parents. The film ends with the question: what is going to happen once the bulldozers arrive and start demolishing the romantic houses which have been preserving our dreams and memories? Wouldn't they take away something of our childhood?

Things that go 'bump' in the night.
Re: [REL] Up in the Cherry Tree (1984) [Bulgaria]
This pix of a 'zany, crazy fun-loving kid' kills me too!

First thing that came to my mind were the warnings that are imprinted on most large bags these days:
WARNING: THIS IS NOT A TOY! Keep away from children under 10 years old as this bag could cause risk of suffocation.
Case in point.. THIS picture.

plastic bags were so much fun back then, and when you ran out of entertaining and hilarious uses, you could keep stuff in them.

Reshare please anyone?
Re: [REL] Up in the Cherry Tree (1984) [Bulgaria]
This is a terrific little film about friendship. THANK YOU to whoever reshared it!
It is a shame that the alternate direct-download files at the.nextthing.club and blizzardkid.net now have dead links. (It looks like a torrent with hardcoded Russian subtitles is still live: http://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2758160)
I took the TNT-Subransu English subtitles from opensubtitles.org and resynced them for starfish's file.

Search ok.ru or vk.com with the keywords "Gore na chereshata", you'll find a few copies (with Russian voice-over).

Re: [REL] Up in the Cherry Tree (1984) [Bulgaria]
As flmwayne suggested, I am currently downloading one of the options from vk.com. Two options come up, one is obviously Russian voice over, the other says "Soviet Dubbing" (I forget if it was in Russian or Bulgarian). Will compare with original Bulgarian soon. They may both be voiced over, though

https://vk.com/video-37971266_456239018 -- much better audio quality (EDIT!!: this audio is definitely a dub, possibly Russian, though not a voice over)
Links of interest!
1 - Full movie on YT in 360p. Possibly not as good quality as original file in OP.

2 - Solidtorrents search results: (LOOK HERE)

One labeled as 720p.DVDRip.H265-JVC just finished downloading for me! Will verify or unverify momentarily! Excitement!
