Seems it was dying then so perhaps it is certainly dead now!Der Omicron ist mit Abstand die beste eMule Version die es je gab!
Leider ist sie Hoffnungslos veraltet und Donkeyserver zeigt an,dass ich sie updaten sollte. Schade..Echt schade.

Re: Changing to a different eMule client
What happened to Omicron? I experimented for years trying different mods and after years of trying this was the one I decided upon, but it seems to have got lost in the sands of time The last one I had (I think) was Omicron 40a, google search yields nothing, except a German opinion of the situation in 2006...

Re: Changing to a different eMule client
I've never seen Omicron, but I often come across mods I've never heard of before, like XdP. Since it's so easy to switch between mods, I've tried dozens. The only thing that takes a lot of time is reindexing the shares. I've had two different mods running at the same time but you must use different ports AND different temp & incoming folders or you'll get a royal mashup. Shared folders can be used by more than one mod simultaneously.

If you're interested in the features found in the vanilla emule, there's a new version out, also available in a 64 bit version. You might have to wait a while before your MOD of choice builds on this version.

Or never - many/most mods javen't been updated in years.emuler wrote:If you're interested in the features found in the vanilla emule, there's a new version out, also available in a 64 bit version. You might have to wait a while before your MOD of choice builds on this version.

I tried the v0.60a executable you gave before but it wouldn't run. I'll give v0.60a a try - set up in 10 minutes and imported the incoming from XdP - we'll see how they compare.
