I also hope, that subtitles will appear some day.
Any suggestion for a subtitle creator software I could use ? I saw that movie a long ago and really enjoyed it, I'd be glad to make english subtitles for all of you...
You may not have noticed, but the boy teenager is played by Benoît Magimel, who's quite a famous actor now here in France :)

Reasta
The boyfriend character looks a few years older, but Benoît is actually only three months older than Sophie. Wouldn't have guessed.

If you want to write subtitles, you can use editing software or you can just write it in a simple text editor like Notepad and save it with an .srt extension. Whichever approach you prefer.

This is one of those movies I watched and got the basic gist of what was happening, but the lack of subtitles meant missing out on more subtle details of the plot. We will be very grateful to get a decent set of subs!

What I meant is, is there any software that would help creating the timecodes ? Because I can translate pretty quickly, but the main process of subs creation is the timing, and with some basic editing software, it might take a while :D

Ah, I've asked this question myself because doing the timing manually is a pain in the ass. Is there a speech recognition program that can generate the timecodes and attempt to transcribe the words? Even if that last part is useless, the time codes (the hardest part) would be worth it.

Unfortunately the answer is no. Premium software like Dragon Naturally Speaking takes a while to train on your voice and still screws up sometimes. Running a soundtrack through it with multiple voices, and distracting background sounds in many parts, that would not work well at all.

Ok, I'll make a transcription and translate it afterwhile, and THEN I'll get p*ssed by the timec-- I'll take care of the timecodes. :'D

I started transcripting but the dialogues are really something lol, sometimes I need to listen to what they say three to four times to get the words ! but I'm on it, guys !

Having done this myself, I know how tedious it can be. Thank you again! :D

Hi. Any news on the translation?
I can do the final timing if you just want to write start time to the nearest second or so. ie play it in VLC and note down the times as you play it. I added 70 lines to Peppermint Soda that were missing from the release version here, so I have experience with SRT files. Also fixed timings on about 300 that were the wrong speed for what I downloaded!
You asked about software... "Subtitle Workshop" http://www.uruworks.net/index.html and "Subtitle edit" https://www.nikse.dk/ are 2 really good SRT subtitle creators / manipulation programs. Creating the file as an SRT type is the simplest.
As you can see from the screenshot - Subtitle Workshop allows you to "visualise the audio" with the waveform display - that can help with the timing, especially where the voices are louder than background noise.

The initial euphoria of freedom gives way to stress and anxiety, as Laurette takes on the responsibilities of her absent parents. On the other hand she meets an older boy who wants to help her out - in many different ways.

Unfortunately I could find no subtitles for this movie in any language. Anyone who has them, please share!

If you find yourself experiencing fever, chills, and respiratory symptoms, no need to worry. Sophie has that effect. :cool1

Here are direct links for those who prefer that method or can't use eMule for whatever reason. All I ask is that if you're able to use eMule, please unrar to your shared folder and seed this for a while. Every source helps. You can still burn an .iso file to disc while it's being shared. It won't interfere with the recording process.

OOoh yes! I've been interested in this movie and I'm a very excited for this. I haven't watched it yet, either. Thank you for posting, ghost, and thanks to your anonymous nice person.

I can attempt to assist any fine-tuning of the subs.

Here's the AI-upscale to 720p:

And for the very first time: English subtitles!

Translating them was a real pain in the ass! I never had a subtitle file with 1749 lines before! :o :? There is sooo much talking in this movie...
Spoiler:

They beat you, Night457 ;)
Please report any mistakes I made.
