Pelle der Eroberer

*Note, this is NOT the 1987 version from Denmark.
From Martin Anderson Nexo's novel comes this loved story of a Swedish boy (Stefan Schader) and his elderly father trying to make a better life for themselves in Denmark. A bleak future quickly becomes apparent when the two find employment on a farm full of misery. Think of an abridged version of the 1988 remake, but note that this one also includes parts of the Nexo story not found in the Bille August film. Also, Schader is a bit younger than Pelle Hvenegaard and has much fairer skin and hair.

WoRkZ I myself was looking for this one for ages too, a good friend was kind enough to send it to me two weeks ago, he found it in a newsgroup years ago.

I have uploaded now the one I have, it has a slightly better resolution (720x544), includes English subtitles and is not split in two files:

Awesome, thanks! :D I wonder how DVD content can be edited to remove audio tracks and set the default language how it was before they added the russian track. Are there and free programs for this? And any that works in Linux? :?: I've seen many movies with russian tracks added and with MKV files it's very easy to change the order and default tracks, but I have no idea how to modify/edit a DVD structure

It's a bit of a process, but there are tutorials for it. Don't be afraid of the fact that they were written 20 years ago. The DVD standard has not changed.

I have like 9 Windows programs I've used, all free but not necessarily open source. I'm not sure what is available on Linux.
