A movie about the corruption in all levels of society. A baby is born from a supposed-to-be virgin woman, so a chain of hysteria about divine intervention in the birth takes place.

And the overaged ones too. I have been a fan of Peter Greenaway for over 30 years but this one revolted me. He went out of his way to make a repellant film that was a big "fuck you" to the audience and he succeeded remarkably well. I think it is a work of genius, just very very unpleasant. It took me years to watch it again (bought the blu-ray) and I still found it repugnant. I get more viewing pleasure from "Cannibal Holocaust" or "A Serbian Film."

Just be certain you read a little about it so you know what you are getting into.

Well, I am nowhere near THAT old now, and it hurt my heart decades ago

... but yeah!

Since there are ratings for "no one under 16" or 17 or 18, I think we should have a rating that allows no one OVER a certain age for some movies. "What, over 21? Sorry, you can't watch this one! You need to watch more grownup movies now. Come back when you are having your second childhood."

If those persons hearts aren't too weak for a scene where a woman is sentenced to death by f*** then answer is no otherwise yes
