Thank you to whoever reshared popdrome's 2011 file!

It had English DVDsubs which I OCRd to an external SRT file, making spelling and grammar corrections.

UNCUT VERSION

The previously shared version was apparently edited for television broadcast. THIS version here is the original UNCUT movie, with OVER THIRTEEN MINUTES of additional footage! There is a mix of more action, nature footage, as well as extended conversations with the main characters' family members.

Russian or German audio torrent: https://www.btmulu.com/hash/12c792486a3 ... 21956.html

I remuxed the torrent file into a version with the German audio first and set as the default track. Emule link at the bottom of the post.

EDIT 01-10-23: I retimed the English subtitles to be synced to the extended uncut version of the movie. In later posts, mimzy filled in the majority of the additional dialog with German transcriptions and English translations. Ghost and Harry789 provided able assistance with more contributions. With only a single shouted word still unidentified and most of my original errors corrected, I am declaring this subtitle now finished!

Thank you, Night! I just watched it and I transcribed the missing text, in case someone wants to improve the subs. Few lines that I did not get are marked with [----]. Timing is not very exact (±1 second or so).
Spoiler:

00:15:47 Rick, er ist da!
00:15:58 Hast du gehört?
00:15:59 Mh.
00:16:05 Sag mal, musst du das denn ausgerechnet jetzt machen?
00:16:19 Klaus?
00:16:20 Ja, seid ihr fertig?
00:16:21 Was?
00:16:22 Ob ihr fertig seid?
00:16:23 Ja.
00:16:24 Mh.
00:16:25 Willst du nicht raufkommen?
00:16:26 Nein! Also seid ihr nicht fertig oder was?
00:16:29 Doch, Rick ist fertig!
00:16:30 Rick, mach schon!
00:16:35 Klaus, du musst mir eines unbedingt versprechen.
00:16:37 Was denn?

00:21:44 Immer weg, weg, weg, weg, raus, raus, raus!
00:21:47 Ach!
00:21:50 Herbert, hast du dir das auch gültig überlegt?
00:21:51 Ja!
00:21:54 Ja wovon, wovon... Wie willst du...
00:21:55 Wie willst du für das alles bezahlen?
00:21:57 Bezahlen, bezahlen!
00:22:02 Ich habe [----] verkauft, an Wennemann!
00:22:05 Du hast...? Aber die sind doch...
00:22:06 Ja! Nichts mehr zu ändern, Mutter!
00:22:10 Lass ihn fahren, Ada! Lass ihn noch fahren!
00:22:10 Lass ihn weg wie Nase in Wind!
00:22:15 Also, dann!
00:22:16 Aber so kannst du doch nicht...
00:22:20 Ich habe alles, Mutter! Seife, Zahnpasta, Pass.
00:22:21 Tschüss!
00:22:23 Tschüss! Und Ruf mal an, Junge!
00:22:32 Und hier... Hier...
00:22:32 Ach, ja.
00:22:32 Und das. Und hier...
00:22:38 Du wirst es brauchen, Herbertchen.
00:22:42 Mach dir keine Sorgen, Mutter!
00:22:44 Ich hab meine Tauben dabei
00:22:44 und wir bleiben im Kontakt.
00:22:58 Herbertchen!
00:23:00 Da geht er ab! Er muss doch weg, er muss doch weg!
00:23:02 Raus, raus, raus! [----]

00:27:46 Na, Ringo? Wie war dein erster Tag?
00:27:48 Gut, ich hab dich gesehen.
00:27:49 Tja, ich euch auch.
00:27:51 Ist euer Lehrer OK?
00:27:52 Sicher.
00:27:55 Sag mal... Und wenn macht ihr den ersten Sprung?
00:27:56 Morgen.

Schlaf gut. Gruss, Papa."

01:01:15 Frühstücken!
01:01:17 Weg?

01:25:56 Hier ist eine Stufe!
01:26:02 Und Weiter!
01:26:08 [----]
01:26:12 Idiot!
01:26:14 Geh weiter!
01:26:18 Rick!
01:26:20 [----]
01:26:21 Wie denn?

01:29:37 Na, bist bald so weit?
01:29:41 Auch ein Stück Papier!

Spoiler:

00:15:47 Rick, he's here!
00:15:58 Did you hear?
00:15:59 Mh.
00:16:05 Tell me, do you have to do that right now?
00:16:19 Klaus?
00:16:20 Yes, are you ready?
00:16:21 What?
00:16:22 Are you ready?
00:16:23 Yes.
00:16:24 Mh.
00:16:25 Won't you come up?
00:16:26 No! So you guys aren't done or what?
00:16:29 Yes, Rick is done!
00:16:30 Rick, come on!
00:16:35 Klaus, you absolutely have to promise me one thing.
00:16:37 What?
00:16:39 Don't be so daring.
00:16:40 Am I?
00:16:43 Yes, I know that you often overwhelm the boy.
00:16:45 He's just different from you.
00:16:47 He's not that daredevil.
00:16:50 Rick! Hey Rick!
00:16:55 Tell me, don't you want to say goodbye to me?
00:16:56 Why? I thought you were coming down with me.
00:16:57 Bye! Farewell, little one!
00:17:05 Write to me, please!
00:17:10 Bye!

00:21:42 Young people, always bumblebee in the butt!
00:21:44 Always away, away, away, away, out, out, out!
00:21:47 Oh!
00:21:50 Herbert, did you think about it properly?
00:21:51 Yes!
00:21:54 Yes, from what, from what... How do you want...
00:21:55 How are you going to pay for all this?
00:21:57 Pay, pay!
00:22:02 I sold [----] to Wennemann!
00:22:05 You have...? But they are...
00:22:06 Yes! Nothing to change, mother!
00:22:10 Let him go, Ada! Let him drive!
00:22:10 Let him go like a nose in the wind!
00:22:15 Well, then!
00:22:16 But you can't do it like that...
00:22:20 I have everything, mother! Soap, toothpaste, passport.
00:22:21 Bye!
00:22:23 Bye! And give me a call boy!
00:22:32 And here... Here...
00:22:32 Ah, yes.
00:22:32 And that. And here...
00:22:38 You're going to need it, little Herbert.
00:22:42 Don't worry, mother!
00:22:44 I have my pigeons with me
00:22:44 and we'll keep in touch.
00:22:58 Little Herbert!
00:23:00 There he goes! He has to go, he has to go!
00:23:02 Get out, get out, get out! [----]

00:27:46 Well, Ringo? How was your first day?
00:27:48 Good, I saw you.
00:27:49 Well, me you too.
00:27:51 Is your teacher OK?
00:27:52 Sure.
00:27:55 Tell me... And when are you going to make the first jump?
00:27:56 Tomorrow.
00:27:57 Hey, there you go!
00:28:00 Listen, I have to take a quick shower
00:28:01 and if you feel like it, you can go to the dining room.
00:28:04 OK.

00:28:34 Hello! I have a question.
00:28:46 Hello?

00:29:14 Yay, Rick! Hi!

00:33:32 Hello! I have a question.
00:33:37 Hello! You! Stay!

00:36:16 Marie! Come on now!
00:36:17 Yes, I'm coming.

00:58:34 A letter from your father for you.
00:58:36 "Dear Rick, where have you been hiding?
00:58:37 I've been looking for you everywhere. [----]
00:58:41 I'm out with the group down in the village.
00:58:43 See you tomorrow morning. Sleep well. Greetings, dad."

01:01:15 Breakfast!
01:01:17 Gone?

01:25:56 Here is a step!
01:26:02 And onwards!
01:26:08 [----]
01:26:12 Idiot!
01:26:14 Go on!
01:26:18 Rick!

01:29:41 Also a piece of paper!

Me! Me! Me! Thank you so much!

Everyone, give me another day or so to complete it AND check my work. I will watch the movie for the 3rd 4th? 5th?* time to make sure I did not bollocks it up.

* (If playing it through in its entirety in Subtitle Edit counts as "watching" it. But just sitting down and watching it on the TV, it will be the 3rd time.)

I got a lot of practice using the waveform view in Subtitle Edit while following the dialog line by line to retime the whole file, moving subtitles to later in the runtime as needed. So now it should be downright easy to fill in the blanks exactly where they are needed. All the while I was thinking, "I know some of these German words, so I can guess roughly what they are talking about, but not enough German to transcribe it or give an intelligent translation." Fantastic, thanks for putting in the work mimzy!

If anyone else knows German and is inspired to fill in the few missing lines from mimzy's additions, please post them here. I will add them to my updated subtitle. Even if it is a year after this post!

That's what I could understand:
Spoiler:

00:23:02 Raus, raus, raus! [----] (Even I speak German, I couldn't understand it. He's saying "das gute ???"). Maybe someone else has better ears than me.

01:26:08 Ich such' Georg. (I'm looking for Georg.)

01:26:20 Brems doch! (Put on the brakes!)

Thanks, guys!

What about:
00:22:02 Ich habe [----] verkauft, an Wennemann!
I think it should not be too difficult, so I'll retry later. The Russian soundtrack could help too.

Oh! I didn't see that line.

"Ich hab so und so viel "Spat" (???) verkauft." I'm sorry, I can't understand this word. Maybe some kind of dialect? :think
