This is such a soulless film. I now get why some forum members have talked very negatively about it. Feels so exploitive to me and if I had to describe it with one word it would be „soulless“.

I don't know if I'd describe it that way. It's an exploitation flick, and doesn't do much to pretend it's anything else. The director had his own spin on how this was a social commentary, with Fabrizio representing the oligarch/ruling class, Silvia the upper class, and Laura the plebs, but clearly the main point of the film was exhibiting Eva and Lara. Martin played a little sociopath taking advantage of the girls and being cruel to them. It's darker, but not unlike most of David Hamilton's films. Lots of naked girls and ... I think there was an attempt at a plot. 8-)

Yeah thats probably a hard judgement or use of words from me. Exploitive describes it perfectly.

The first time I saw the controversial scenes, I was fascinated but there’s no real chemistry, no authentic acting in my opinion. It’s just very young child actors pretending to show an adult man‘s fantasies. One thing that shocked me was how old Martin was compared to the female actresses. At his age I already traveled the world by myself and was looking at all my teenage peers (14-18).

Lara Wendel looked so much older than Eva, easily 2 years. Lara‘s character I could see already experimenting but Eva really looked & behaved like someone dressed by adults‘ fanatisies

Maybe it’s also the (cheap?) style of the Film. Other films have more aesthetics..more character.. then again I’m probably taking this too serious as it’s a genre film like you said.
