The 20+GB Blu-ray that's linked in an earlier post is uncut.

Can someone share/upload the 20gb version somewhere else?
Zippyshare closed, and Mega won't let me download 20gb without paying...

Thanks

You shouldn't have to pay to download anything on MEGA, although you'll have to wait a while after downloading a big file before it'll let you have another. I seem to recall that using a VPN and connecting to a different server gets around that limitation.

However ... you can't use the browser to download anything but small files. If you're trying to use your browser that's the problem. I'd recommend either JDownloader or MEGA's own desktop app, which you can get here: https://mega.io/desktop.

If you have access to Usenet, I posted the disc there too. Download the .nzb from here: https://nzbking.com/?q=La+Tutora+2016+COMPLETE+BLURAY

Was the First 3gb Post a Post with errors or are these missing parts for the other one?

My internet went down right after I started posting this file, so I aborted. When it came back up I started again and the connection went down a second time - it stayed down most of the night. The next morning I reposted it yet again, third time was was the charm. It uploaded successfully. The .nzb I provided is the one to use. Forget about the other ones.

Even after all these years, a record of a failed partial upload STAYS on Usenet? It can't be deleted by the uploader? If so, that's crazy! I was always scared away from Usenet for a variety of reasons, but this does not encourage me. It is way too easy for any upload to fail, especially a large one, so I would think this would lead to so much clutter.

If there's minor corruption to one or two of the rars, that's what the par2 files are for. If you don't understand par2 and what to do with it I'll try to explain. But yeah, it's a little irritating that you can't delete or overwrite files. Usenet has its advantages and disadvantages like any other medium. Sometimes users will repost just the damaged archives after the main post finishes. Look for stuff like that. Otherwise, as long as there are enough pars to repair the damaged or missing rar files you're good to go. And a lot of what's been posted since 2011 or 2012 is still available - which is considerably better retention than any filehosting service, hands down! Downloads are also lightning fast. Line speed. Whatever the maximum bandwidth your connection is capable of, that's what you should expect.

Usenet is an old legacy protocol first developed around 1980, then adapted to share large files in the 90's. The fact that it's a somewhat antiquated system is both a strength and a weakness. Just as eMule, BitTorrent, and direct links on filehosting sites have their upsides and downsides. Don't be scared off by Usenet. Once you get used to it, you'll start to appreciate its unique advantages.

I only can agree.

Where else do you get files, which were uploaded more than 4000 days ago?

It gets even crazier and more insane: there are private Usenet communities that upload hundreds of Terabytes of password protected archives (rar) and when a site like that goes down forever or gets busted by law enforcement and no one has a backup of the database with the passwords, then you basically end up with hundreds of terabytes of junk..useless data.

And don’t forget all the spam that stays there for many years. You literally have posts that are 600GB of just junk exe files, malware or whatever.

With the rise of UHD content and full BluRay ISO‘s it’s been crazy on Usenet in recent years. Like every day on Usenet sooo many Blu-ray’s, Tv is being uploaded. Or VR Porn which is also like 20GB per scene due to 6k or 8K video resolution.

The size of Usenet and the amount being uploaded to it on a daily basis never cease to amaze and impress me. It’s bonkers. Petabytes of data.

I was once looking for an old Japanese tv series and found the full Blu-ray’s (300GB!) on Usenet while the japanese Blu-ray’s are really expensive nowadays (collectors).

On regular DDL/Warez sites, I see all the time people requesting a reupload of some release because the files got already deleted by the file host due to copyright or due to inactivity (6months) while on Usenet everything still sits there.

This should give you a good idea of how much data is being uploaded DAILY to Usenet right now:
