Papa est parti, maman aussi (1989)

A girl (Sophie Aubry) of roughly fourteen years struggles to keep her family together while her parents are absent. If little sis isn't going to break our heroine by causing trouble, perhaps her quick to feign ill brother or boyfriend will. Decently done but will be best appreciated by those familiar with its language.
thanks, Rich :)

Here it is!

http://imdb.com/title/tt0098059/

Rich has pretty much the best over-all, to-the-point synopsis I have found; the last line ["...best appreciated by those familiar with its language."] referring to the fact that it's a VERY 'talky' movie. But DESPITE that, there are a few OT scenes that make this movie WELL worth checking out. (Lol; although if you've ever done a 'Sophie Aubry' search on emule, you pretty much found them all [except for a 'sweet' kissing scene between Anaïs and Sophie's boyfriend :drool ].)

Sophie Aubry [ http://imdb.com/name/nm0041458/ ] is a beautiful sight; being 15 or 16 when the movie was made.

'Little Sis' is a precocious 5 year old named Anaïs Subra [ http://imdb.com/name/nm0836989/ ] :heart who, unfortunantly seems to have been relegated to 'minor character' status in her other FEW screen roles... :( I think she did a pretty good job with this movie playing the saucy 'little sis'. :bigups

14-year-old Sophie Aubry stars as Laurette, the eldest child left to care for her siblings when her parents abandon them. Anaïs Subra (~ 5-6 yo) plays her younger sister Pamela. The initial euphoria of freedom gives way to stress and anxiety, as Laurette takes on the responsibilities of her absent parents. On the other hand she meets an older boy who wants to help her out - in many different ways.

Unfortunately I could find no subtitles for this movie in any language. Anyone who has them, please share!

If you find yourself experiencing fever, chills, and respiratory symptoms, no need to worry. Sophie has that effect. :cool1

Here are direct links for those who prefer that method or can't use eMule for whatever reason. All I ask is that if you're able to use eMule, please unrar to your shared folder and seed this for a while. Every source helps. You can still burn an .iso file to disc while it's being shared. It won't interfere with the recording process.

Here's the AI-upscale to 720p:

And for the very first time: English subtitles!

Translating them was a real pain in the ass! I never had a subtitle file with 1749 lines before! :o :? There is sooo much talking in this movie...
Spoiler:

They beat you, Night457 ;)
Please report any mistakes I made.
