W pustyni i w puszczy (1973)

In the Middle East during the 1880's, a Polish boy of about sixteen (Tomaez Medrak) and a Polish girl roughly eight years of age (Monika Rosca) are kidnapped from their families by zealot Moslems. Fearing for their lives, they eventually break free from their abductors, yet then find themselves journeying through uncharted Africa. Can they survive the beasts and storms of nature, as well as outwit the brutal slave-drivers who are searching for them?
Fourteen year old Polish boy Stas Tarkowski and eight year old Nel Rawlison from England are kidnapped as the hostages by Arabic fanatics and taken to their religion leader. Then they manage to escape and try to return to their fathers.

Children have a lot of dangerous adventures, meet two Black kids; Kali and Mea, who also help them, make a friendship with an elephant and help one Black's tribe. Finally they manage to return. Based on great novel, the same title by Nobel receiver (for all his literary output) Henryk Sienkiewicz.
GREAT, the 1973 version now available...

I thought is was good. Not as good as the remake but still nice. The girl has a lot of screen time and is cute. She has the type of voice that you either think she is cute or you hate her. :D
