Well you know, I was working about 6 damned hours on these subs and I should have stopped when my concentration was getting less and less...
That's also the reason for these grammar mistakes

Gah, you really did put a lot of work into this..
I catastrophized on the witchcraft issue, but you fixed a total error I made in the Red Girl poem (which was driving me nuts... ) ,
and your flow/wording around that whole area (1:16:45-1:17:45) is superior. I misjudged you wrongly..
Just a minor thing, but you cut out the hypnotist's monologue on TV at the end. (It explains why the little boy pees his pants.) e.g. 2:05:28 "Why are we turning pale?", etc...
I'm not able to proofread right now. If you didn't watch an MTL (or my edit) along with the movie, it's understandable if you thought some lines were nonsense. (I've made that mistake on other movies, myself.) I did spend an entire day on the English ones I posted, at least 10 hours. (I'm OCD..)
But I make mountains out of moleholes, so to speak.. I'm sure it's quite watchable the way you've done it.
This version takes ghost's 2nd revision and restores 25 missing lines, which I took from gehn's version. Their two versions had slightly different timings, so I stayed with ghost's. See the added-back-in lines here:
Some are insignificant, but clearly a good portion of them are actual dialog. It looks like they somehow got cut out of ghost's first revision. Nodding off on the delete key, maybe? Or just serious indifference to the guy on the TV.
I did not try to alter the translations except for a few no doubt controversial revisions of talking to the baby, the typical things said to hush a fussy infant.

Thank you! This made me check it out and then I saw the multiple missing lines. But I STILL don't understand WHY he pees his pants. Please tell me! Do kids pee themselves when they think the guy on TV is talking to them?!??! The hypnotist did not exactly say "Just relax, let it out. Sssssss. Sssssss. Isn't that better?"
And I must ask about this:

OK, I just can NOT reconcile these two statements! If you spent at least 10 hours, how is that "only rudimentary editing"?!!?!?!
I totally understand obsessiveness with subtitles. I have spent that much time on a single half-hour episode of a Swedish TV series. (I don't speak Swedish at all, so it took real research to comb through the machine-translation multiple times to improve it, trying to keep it true to the source.)
THANK YOU BOTH, ghost and gehn! I really do appreciate what you have done! I may even be ready to watch it again soon, this time with the subtitles. I watched it thrice without.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Thank you, Night. I was afraid of wearing ghost out, and you saved the day.

LOL
Maybe kids have a built-in level of incontinence that gets triggered by "altered consciousness" (like sleeping)?
Or the director just wanted that effect to happen.

A) I've been burned too many times overestimating my results and making dumb oversights, especially with only 1 day of eyes :/
B) as alluded in Dec post, I felt confused on many parts (maybe Russian talking style?), so it was a way of saying "it needs work" (and it did)
C) I've been humb-dazzled by how rigorous "good" VN translation groups operate..

I felt rudimentary was the right word. Anyway, you've lifted a burden/weight off me. Really appreciated your post.

I thought that all the stuff spoken on TV isn't important for the plot. But you're right: The peeing scene in the end makes sense and I will add it again

This would be absolute perfection.. Well, at least 3 people were checking them now
I watched the movie yesterday night with my "new" subtitles and I was really pleased with the result (ok, except the TV at the end).
