M3gan is not as frightening or even as unsettling as I would have liked. Lots of missed opportunities with that one, especially for a premise like this. For a movie that's all about traumatic experiences, I was hoping it would at very least be psychologically disturbing.

...So yeah, it's not horror or gore, so I know I'm going to like it...

It was obviously meant to be horror, that's what they were going for.

The thing is, she's supposed to be a threat in the movie, but I mostly rooted for her.

Spoiler: Everyone you wish dead dies and then everyone you wanted to live lives happily ever after and has a nice tea party to celebrate. The whole ordeal shocked me into a coma.

I have not watched even the HDTC (high definition telecine) bootlegs but I can not resist reading spoilers! There have been some reviews and commentary on it describing it as having a camp sense of humor, which is a direction the "Chucky" / "Child's Play" series ultimately headed full throttle. I have to wonder if the ending as you described it is an example of that.

This could be one of those movies that generates a divisive audience response. It is clearly a huge success, which will bring in the curious who otherwise might not watch it. Some of those will HATE it, no doubt, having been "suckered in" by word of mouth from the more enthusiastic viewers.

OK everyone, we are past the camjobs and TCs and TSs and are just now getting into the real deal ... I have not watched it yet but I am in the process of checking out what is available. Emule still has the crud, so beware and only trust links that someone else has verified.

Check it out, it looks good. You may be able to download it if you are lucky or clever. Normally I can nab files from this site, but this time it is not cooperating.
EDIT: I succeeded in downloading it, but it is a lower bitrate 1.1Gb 1080p stereo file. Many better are available, but it is good enough for a streaming watch.
