Re: [REQ] Balet (2014) [Russia]
That description is incorrect. It's from a movie that never got produced:
https://backstage.blogs.com/blogstage/2 ... itons.html
The "Balet" listed in RFF is a TV documentary: https://sensitivecontent.info/movie.php?id=37534

Re: [REQ] Balet (2014) [Russia]
I just copied it from RFF. So they got it wrong. That description is incorrect.
Re: [REQ] Balet (2014) [Russia]
Yay tolsty, thanks!
Balet / Ballet / Балет is such a broad search term that I tried it with the director, Ilya Ulanov / Илья Уланов. That got me nothing. I gave up.
[EDIT: corrections to this information in posts below.]

The correct name is Академия/Academy, two parts of 26 minutes each.

Re: [REQ] Akademiya (2014) [Russia]
Thank you! I changed the thread title.
Have patience please as I struggle with reading and typing Cyrillic and using Google Translate:
From CineB's poster, the director is
Илья Ульянов / Ilya Ulyanov
rather than
Ilya Ulanov / Илья Уланов
as rarefilmfinder had it.
Ilya Ulyanov
and orangelamp was apparently looking for Part One of Akademiya (2014)
Tolsty's Youtube video is titled
"д/ф БАЛЕТ фильм 1" [Translation: "d/f BALLET film 1"]
and the beginning of it has on the screen
Академия ФИЛЪМ ПЕРВЬІЙ [Translation: "Academy Film First"]
The YouTuber who uploaded it is Илья Ульянов / "Ilya Ulyanov". He also uploaded Part Two:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiV5zmszzC4
It is titled on YouTube for me as "Russian school of the ballet. Documentary", although it appears to region-translate from the Russian as it loads for me. It looks like the Russian title is actually "д/ф БАЛЕТ фильм 2". I see some of the same faces.
The beginning of the video has on screen
Академия ФИЛЪМ ВТОРОЙ [Translation: "Academy Film Two"]
There, we have both parts. Whew!
EDIT: "д/ф" [Translation: "d/f"] is apparently an abbreviation for "документальный
фильм". [Translation: "documentary film".] Damn, translating Russian abbreviations is tricky when you only know Google!

Interesting site I've not seen before, seems to be similar to FLM

Re: [REQ] Akademiya (2014) [Russia]
Rich - it's similar to:
http://thebestmovie999.blogspot.com/
http://cinematrix.eklablog.com/
https://www.youthincinema.com/
It has their compilation of short films -now on #117 it seems - which are probably just batches of short films from this site.
It seems they do have other sources, probably boys film sites and contacts. For instance I hadn't seen "Aki tachinu / Autumn Has Already Started" posted here.
