***NEW*** Je Vous Salue, Marie (1985)
In this modern retelling of the Virgin birth, Mary is a student who plays basketball and works at her father's petrol station; Joseph is an earnest dropout who drives a cab. The angel Gabriel must school Joseph to accept Mary's pregnancy, while Mary comes to terms with God's plan through meditations that are sometimes angry and usually punctuated by elemental images of the sun, moon, clouds, flowers, and water. Godard intercuts a brief parallel story of Eva and her nameless lover; their adulterous affair, rife with philosophical discussions, leads nowhere.

Le Livre de Marie (1984)
There is a great quarrel between mother and father all the time.

The best scene in this short movie is, where Marie is hearing the 9 symphony from Gustav Mahler and she is dancing alone in the living room. She wanted to die and is lying on the carpet. This scene told us more about Mahler, than Viscontis film can do. Because, the reason why she wanted to die is not Thomas Manns "Dekadenz" his mixing up between eros and thanathos, his spleen between art and homosexuality. It's more easy and nearer on real life only the difference between her parents, their great conflicts. To miss harmony. She is so sad about it and the music told this too.

I like this short movie, who is in Germany and some other countries only shown together with J.L. Godards "Maria und Josef" (a very good movie about mothering).

Could someone please reshare this file. This one goes especially to Xss and Hell Master. The only full sources, except of a few eDonkey ones.
More than two weeks and just 63MB is not much, i think. Perhaps there is a helpin' hand out there.
Thank you!

David

Is this very much a girl movie, or one of those films with just a few scenes?

The Je Vous Salue, Marie (1985) movie has both the films on actually, didn't realise. The girl movie would be Livre de Marie, Le (1984)

About 4 years or so ago, I remember seeing a short film on the ARTE channel. I think the title was something like "Maria und ich buch" does anyone else remember this, or maybe has the correct title, cause I dont think that the title I gave is 100% correct. Thanks for any info on this.

The title you posted seems to be a literal translation of this one:
