I loaded the "Nadia" trailer Nov. 6th,... the Nadia trailer has only 34 views.

I loaded the "Happiness" trailer only a couple of days ago, the Happiness trailer has over 135 views.

Go figure. ;)

Here's the IMDB link......

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0147612/

Quote from the IMDB full synopsis.

Bill is a therapist and, in addition to instructing their son how to masturbate and having fantasies about going on shooting sprees, is also a pedophile. He develops a fixation on Johnny, a friend of their son and eventually sodomizes him after drugging his entire family when Johnny is sleeping over. Bill later rapes another of his sons friends and is eventually accused and indicted.

I think that probably determines whether this is GM or BM!
However, let's not dismiss boy movies........after all a good movie is still a good movie & this one certainly is. While not always necessarily my 'thing' I would welcome more participation from those interested in discussing (& hopefully releasing) boy movies. 'Ma Vie En Rose' & 'The Heart Is Deceitful' spring to mind immediately (& there will doubtless be others) of BM themed releases here.....both incredibly beautiful & touching movies. My collection would be poorer without them.

IMO the second best American movie after [REL] Angela (1995).

I have the DVD, but the link in OP seems to be well sourced and other rips can be found using the eMule search function.

Happiness was ok, by far not my fave from this director.

I became a Todd Solondz fan after 'Welcome to the Dollhouse' [ https://www.first-loves.net/forums/v ... php?t=5019 ] which I prefer over his other films. A distant second would be 'Palindromes' [ https://www.first-loves.net/forums/v ... php?t=2294 ].

I haven't taken time to sit down and watch 'Life During Wartime', but checking it now I see that Emma Hinz [ http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2637810/ ] is kinda cute in a waif-like sorta way.. (Though I'm sure she has a small role..) Might have to check that one out soon... :think

Like Peter Greenaway [to a lesser degree] Todd Solondz' movies tend to be an acquired taste..
