Re: [REL] The Blue Lagoon (1949) - Classic
Great job, ptg!!
I look forward to seeing how well this translates from Youtube to viable .avi file. Thanks for taking the time and effort to do this!

Nice one ptg.......a man after my own heart!
Re: [REL] The Blue Lagoon (1949) - Classic
I think the quality is very acceptable. Was doing the same, converting the youtube files, result was a very nice Quicktime movie (.mov). But I was guessing that a .avi version would be preferenced.
So always worth a try to re encode files, found on youtube.

Re: [REL] The Blue Lagoon (1949) - Classic
I spent a LONG time yesterday putting together and posting what I thought was an original [REL] thread for this movie, only to remember, after the fact, to USE THE F*@&^%$ SEARCH FUNCTION before posting a new thread.
Anyway ... *sigh ... I thought I might as well post to the existing thread what I'd come up with, for those interested in the subject.

Good catch! The fact the newer version is a US release probably caused people not to question this. Re: [REL] The Blue Lagoon (1949) - Classic
<Bump> Any chance of a reshare? I've been stuck at 93% for awhile and my eMule has never seen a complete source.
I remember watching this a long time ago and was surprised a movie from the straight-laced 40's dared to show a bare-chested Susan Strank, let alone the 1980 version with Elva Josephson or 1991 'Return' with Courtney Phillips. This version has a lot more action and a better story than the 1980 one.
It's a cinch Elva was a much better actress than Brooke... oh wait, Brooke was acting like she was a lousy actress, so she was in reality very talented.
<Rebump> Does anyone still have this?
