What files are you talking about? I don't have any of the FLM versions because I have the Blus, but popdrome's have external subtitles.
Ah. I see my mistake! They displayed like this below in Media Player Home Cinema! And didn't show there was a subtitle layer.
Must be my setting for when there's an SRT in thefolder! But playing them in VLC I see they're not burnt in! Phew!

 Ha ha!

I have not specifically used Media Player Home Cinema, but there are probably settings for how external subtitles are displayed: size, font etc. I have never had reason to change the defaults in my case, but I have seen such settings in other players.

Watched this last night. Was good. Half the film is sadly about the parents love life which was still made for a fun film. Sophie Marceau was a real star, but Samantha, the younger kid sister of the friend was really cute - wish they both had more screen time! Will have to watch the sequel now!
It seems she's Alexandra Gonin. Wikipedia lists her as only a year younger than Miss Marceau - but you wouldn't guess that from this film!
Seems she's in the sequel too. IMDB lists this film as "The Party", which is a bit odd and confusing, but list the 2nd film as "La Boum 2".

I have IMDB listing the second film as "The Party 2", but IMDB changes title languages based on your IP region and/or browser settings. I am guessing if I was on a French IP with the browser language as French that all French movies would be listed with their French titles, not the English titles.

Why your region would split the difference, I dunno!
