After searching for years for her abducted daughter, a woman meets a child who matches the lost girl's description but must contend with another woman who claims the kid as her own in "This Girl Is Mine." Third feature by Gallic writer-helmer Virginie Wagon ("The Secret," "The Little Thief") reps a mildly suspenseful but schematic femme-centric meller. Pic is marred by implausible character behavior and an insipid tech package that betrays film's origins as a made-for-TV drama, broadcast on ARTE France last June. Adoption by theatrical distribs offshore doesn't look likely, but cablers should provide "Girl" with foster homes.

The French versions don't have any more sources but Ghost's German one is still alive. Still haven't been able to find any English subs though
