[REL] Der Schatz Der Weißen Falken German (2005)

In 1981 a group of 11 year-olds living in the countryside discover a cryptic treasure map from the 70’s left by a legendary kids’ gang, the White Falcons. Jan, Stevie, and Basti set off on their quest for the treasure. Meanwhile tough gal Marie covertly follows the boys with her gang of rival village kids. Investigating dark and hidden secrets, the kids feud and come together while unraveling a small town mystery, narrowly escaping death, and ultimately bonding as comrades on the summer’s final adventure. Audience Winner at the Vienna Children’s Film Festival.

WOW!!!
What a cool movie!! No OT scenes, but a GREAT 'Buddy-Bonding' adventure tale in the 'Stand By Me' vein! PLUS a cute tomboy female interest thrown in the mix.
Just finished watching and though I don't speak German, I was riveted to the screen! I could pretty much follow everything that was going on, as the film really DID bear an uncanny resemblence to 'Stand By Me'. (I'm sure the writers took some liberties in re-hashing Stephen King...)
