(As promised to Mirror. :) )

ORIGINALLY known as: Don't Touch My Daughter
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101758/

Synopsis:
A young girl is kidnapped and molested by a classmate's father. The man she identifies is arrested and jailed, but is later released on bail. He calls the girl's mother and threatens to kidnap her daughter again, and this time kill her and make sure her body will never be found. She goes to the authorities for help, but there's nothing they can do until he actually tries something. Afraid for her daughter's life, the mother decides to take matters into her own hands.
Starring a young-looking Danielle Harris [she was approx. 13 - 14 at the time the movie was made]

Pix are from THIS rip. The DVD I have is a commercial release, but quailty-wise it looks to be a DVD burn from a VHS copy.

Unfortunantly Danielle is not featured a whole lot in this movie. The main story is about the mother and what she goes through trying to keep a sicko away from her daughter. Some nice moments though, in a very implausible movie; and Danielle is ALWAYS a pleasure to watch! (Just wish they spent more time with her....)

Again, it's set to 'Release', but my releases seem to be firewalled or something. Load at your own frustration... ;)

Hi kev,

thanks for the rip. But I got not one byte yet.

Is it OK to you, if i try to help you by fixing your firewall settings?

I must say, Kev, that despite yer low ID on eMule, I managed to get your releases, it just takes a little longer. I'm still greatful for that great corny Red Riding Hood, brilliant - which is your REL if I remember well.

Any, Kev - thanks for the many good rips/releases plus the info's you provide, links and pics and all. MUCH appreciated.

@kev

Can you please make your emule client name to "kev [FLM]"? Then we can see if we get something from you. I've got a few hours ago around 27 MB from your file, but not sure, if something comes from your line. I saw (mostly?) from Debaser [FLM].

It wonders me that sending from your side is working, because I guess you're the only one who have ripped that movie.

Thanks :)

I used to have a 'High ID', but ever since I got my new modem I've been stuck behind some kind of firewall.

I'm not running through a router. I'm on Verizon DSL, with the phone line going straight to the modem and from there directly to my PC.

My security system is Norton's and THAT is set to let emule pass, and my Window's [XP] firewall is deactivated, so that shouldn't be a hinderance.

Someone suggested that it might be my new modem that has some kind of built in firewall, but I am not compu-literate enough to figure out how to a.) TELL if it is or not and b.) How to get around it if it is...

Well, that's where I am right now. If you've got any ideas or suggestions that might help this situation, let me know.

Thanks. :bigups

@kev

I try to help you with your firewall. I hope you can fix it :) But I do it not as PM because my mailbox will get full fast if we go that way. So I do it here in the forum.

Well, I guess, you know how to reach your DSL router? Normally, open a browser and type in the IP of the router. In some cases this is http://192.168.2.1 or http://192.168.1.1. Other addresses could be possible.

If you have logged in you should search for firewall rules and port forwardings. My amule client on Kanotix Linux works on the ports 4662 as the standard port and 4672 as the enhanced client UDP port.

You must forward these ports to the local IP of your desktop machine from where you share.

The same settings you could try with your Norton and Windows firewall.

Another situation could be if your Verizon provider blocks specific ports. I'm not sure if aMule, eMule etc works with my idea, but we could try to share over port 80. This port can't be blocked by providers. It's the http port, which makes you able to visit websites :)

The 3rd possibility is that you try out aMule. Look here: http://www.amule.org/. Just for testing...

4th method: can you access FTP (port 21)? If so, I could make you an temporary private FTP account where you can upload then.

Please let me know if something works. Correct me if I'm wrong with some stuff.

Thanks :)

kev: many DSL modems have routers built in, so the port forwarding has to be done to get HighID. Visit http://www.portforward.com for detailed instructions specific to your p2p client and modem/router. :clap

Thanks, Mirror! You've given me more routes to follow in my quest! I appreciate the time and thought you put into this; hopefully something will work.

lol!

Hey, emuler: :)

I think you've given me this same advice before! I've not been able to remember where it was SO I'm going to 'Copy and Paste' THIS post!! ;)

Thanks. I'll try this out!

It is easier if you allocate a fixed IP address to your internal PC - must be same subnet as the internal interface of your router (this will be your gateway). Also recommended on the emule forum is to change your ports for emule from the default, to another two ports - say 4668/78, then port forward using those ports to the fixed IP address - you must allow traffic both ways.

Finally, regarding your Firewall, I find it easier to simply allow all ports, all IP addresses for application emule in both directions - I am aware of possible security risks but (touch wood) so far have had no problems and (again tw) always get highid.
