[REL] Oedipus Orca (1977)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0897431/

Iv previewed what I have of this movie so far, and I have found one OT scene (OT in terms of a child actress as apposed to OT in terms of an older actress portraying a child well).

In this scene (of which I cant preview fully) a girl of 10-12yrs is examining herself in a mirror, filmed from behind her so you see her FULLY in the mirror as well as from behind.

and before you ask, yes she is ;)

I wont make a seperate release for the following film, as it lacks child elements.

If you liked Oedipus Orca for anything other than child themes, you will love La Orca!!

IMDB
Oedipus Orca is the sequel to La Orca both directed by Visconti and starring Rena Niehaus. In La Orca a high school aged girl played by Niehaus is kidnapped and held for ransom, while the second movie Oedipus Orca is about her life with her family and boyfriend after she returns home. The first film (La Orca) was somewhat controversial and labeled pornographic by some due to its exploitive nudity and sexuality involving a teenage girl. The first movie is actually pretty good with a great ending, while the second is less focused and sometimes seems like it was done purely as an exploitive film.

Enjoy

La Orca is a separate film. It's not really on topic because there are no children in it, even if the main character is supposed to be a schoolgirl, but here's the link, just for completeness (downloaded and verified):

Sometimes it pays to read the whole thread... same file was already posted.

More interestingly...
Someday I should check whether this version is La Orca or Oedipus Orca or a mixture... it says Oedipus Orca but also says 1976 which is when La Orca was released... this will blow away the VHSrips quality-wise.

these are English subs for the vhs rip.

they do not sync with the dvdrip and I am still looking for those. I had high hopes for the links Ldieguez_ posted as he wrote it included English .srt but the post is missing part 8 :wall

perhaps these can be reworked to match the higher quality rip :pray

So what? The .srt is in perfect sync with the 704 MB vhs rip it was posted with. The 843 MB dvd rip starts about 9 seconds later with text and ends up nearly 1:50 longer, so you have to change every single time mark by hand. If you want the dvd rip with subs, you better move, cause I don't think anybody will do that for fun! :icon_1whip

The actual dvd rips of both movies (without subs, lol):

ANYWAY, I watched David's lovely upscale and enjoyed it quite a bit! It was WAY better than I had remembered and works well as a psychological study of a victim of trauma, who has really obtuse parents. (They are wealthy, not smart nor sensitive.) Plus there is a bit of titillation to keep it interesting. It is not overly intense and serious, oh no! There is some brief, bloody slaughterhouse footage for the mondo fans, and a death scene that would make Dario Argento smile.

The one regret is that Alice's younger sister does not have more screen time. She disappears from the story far too early. They could have explored further a sister's rivalry for the attention of the father, without needing to get too creepy about it.

Thank you David!

Here it is on eMule -

720p Italian audio and optional English internal subtitles:
