At the edge of adolescence, Tracy is a smart straight-A student--if not a little naive. When she befriends Evie, the most popular and beautiful girl in school, Evie leads Tracy down a path of sex, drugs and self-mutilation.
As Tracy transforms herself and her identity, her world becomes a boiling, emotional cauldron fueled by new tensions between her and her mother--as well as, teachers and old friends.

I remember this as the film where the "bad girls" are huffing and then punch each other in the face for fun.

Nikki Reed, the brunette, also famous for her role of Rosalie Cullen in the twilight movies, did not only star in „Thirteen“ but also co-wrote the screenplay if I remember correctly. I had such a crush on her in this film. It’s definitely a film with super strong acting performances. Especially Holly hunter and Evan Rachel Wood.
