This made for Spanish television miniseries follows the life of a real- life society woman with everything to lose who gambles her whole life away in order to support a revolutionary movement against the Spanish monarchy.

Controversial and outspoken Pepa Flores in perfectly cast at the wealthy beauty who will not compromise her scruples and who suspects that her martyrdom may inspire the revolution. I suspect Marisol bonded personally with the politically stubborn Pineda.

Well acted and filmed in actual locations, the DVD set also includes documentary footage about Mariana Pienda along with a surprising segment of Marisol's singing television appearances.

I have all 5 episodes of this if anyone is interested, though as OrionPax said, only episode 2 has any OT scenes. This is a very good historical miniseries. No subs.

This is a terrific miniseries that is fairly historically accurate. Mariano Pineda, though a member of the upper class in 1830's Spain, gets involved in support of an uprising against the monarchy and refuses to bow to pressure to recant her political views, for which she is finally executed. This is an excellent show even though the children have minor appearances in other episodes besides #2, so if OT is all you're interested in, you may not want to bother. If you're looking for a great film otherwise, this fills the bill.
