Supposedly the original dialogue was in Greek and Italian - which makes sense given the director and location. I know the Greek DVD version is supposed to be of inferior picture quality to what I already have, but I'd like to hear Livia's actual voice - unless of course I'm wrong?

Also, does the German version of the film available here happen to include the bonus features such as the production stills and outtakes? I haven't seen those yet.

My DVD has the production stills and outtakes. It's posted here: https://www.first-loves.net/forums/view ... 937#p76937

This movie was filmed on the island of Cyprus, where Greek is commonly spoken along with Turkish. Livia is American though. She was born in New York City. If you watch peoples' mouths you can see they're speaking English.

Excellent! Thank you, deadman. So she really is speaking English - I had read that the voices were dubbed, but evidently the dubbing went in the opposite direction - from English to whatever. And thanks for the New York tip, I will add it to my Livia profile. Maybe I can find out more based on it.

Livia was born August 11, 1965. Given that this movie released in February, 1980, and summer weather in Cyprus typically lasts from May to October, this means Livia was barely 14 at most when filming. It's possible she was 13 for most or all of it. I can't find exact production dates so that's about the best I can do.

As for Haris Tryfonas there is even less available on him than Livia. He appears to have done a lot of erotic films (translation: soft core porn) from 1969 to 1980 - this was his last credited role. His date of birth is unknown, and quite possibly this is a made up stage name. But based on his appearance I'd say he was somewhere in his late 30's or early 40's in this film.

People these days have social media accounts and generally drop a lot more personal info than they used to. Livia especially would've posted pictures of her family and friends, vacations, birthday parties, and on-set selfies with the cast while she was shooting. But there was no TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook back in 1979. So it was a real chore just finding out where and when she was born, and confirming that Livia Russo is in fact the actress' real name.

Softcore porn with an attempt at an actual plot (B-movie level at best). This one's most notable for the presence of little blond Livia Russo. Practically nothing is known about this girl. This was her only film. What sources I could find mostly claim she was barely 14. One site listed her year of birth as 1966 but gave no further info. Watching her onscreen I find no reason to doubt that. 1979 was a different (and much less uptight) time.

I have both the NTSC and PAL versions, and this is one of the rare examples of an NTSC release with better video quality. Probably the PAL version was simply re-encoded from it. That seems to be the case quite often with DVDs from Greece. I have no idea why. Anyhow, I've posted the better looking version.

Here are direct links for those who prefer that method or can't use eMule for whatever reason. All I ask is that if you're able to use eMule, please unrar to your shared folder and seed this for a while. Every source helps. You can still burn an .iso file to disc while it's being shared. It won't interfere with the recording process.

Deadman, I'm a newbie at this. I presume the emule option is the one "Emanuelle's Daughter (1980).NTSC.DVD.iso", correct? I see there is a guide to using emule elsewhere on the site so I'll refer to that, but with regards to the direct links, how do those work? Also, do I/can I write these to a blank DVD and then play it in my DVD player, or does it just download to my computer? Apologies and thanks!

Yes, an .iso file is a disc image. A bit for bit copy, a digital snapshot if you will, of the data on the original DVD. You can burn that image to a blank DVD-R and watch it on your set-top player. Any burning software will have an option for doing this.

Unfortunately zippyshare has recently shut down, killing those links. My MEGA link is still active though. Do you have JDownloader on your system? Because you can add the link to that and download it. Or go here and get MEGA's own desktop app: https://mega.io/desktop

If you've figured out eMule then that's always an option. You should definitely try installing and getting that working if you haven't, since most of what's on this site is available exclusively by that method.

Oh, I forgot to mention: you will need a dual layered DVD-R to record this disc. Anything larger than 4.5 GB needs a dual layer, also known as a DVD9.

Walter --

Everything deadman said is of course correct but I wanted to add a LITTLE bit more.

If you PREFER to play a computer file instead of burning a DVD, deadman's ISO file will play in VLC as if it is a DVD. You do not HAVE to burn a physical DVD if you do not want to.

Also, if you PREFER to have single playable files rather than navigating through a DVD menu, then you can use MakeMKV ( https://www.makemkv.com/ ) to convert the ISO to MKVs for the movie and any video extras. This is what I always do. It is free and takes only a few minutes.

Thank both of you so much! I have downloaded both MEGA and MakeMKV, and will set up e-mule as soon as I have read thru the instructions well enough to be sure I understand what I am doing. Very much appreciated. :D :D :D

Personally, I would download deadman's MEGA file because that is faster.

However, ONCE YOU HAVE EMULE INSTALLED AND WORKING AND RUNNING, you can click the ed2k link next to the file name on the Requested files page, or double-click the ed2k link where it is posted in the movie thread, and the link will open in your eMule client. Check to be sure the Status is not Paused, and right-click and select "Resume" if it is. It will start downloading when someone is online and running eMule and sharing it.
