Re: [REL] Mer om oss barn i Bullerbyn (1987)
Is this one of those Lindgren stories that got made into a series and then edited down into a couple movies? Just checking, because I lose track of i all sometimes.
Are the new yts release and your previous upgrade the versions of the movie?

Ask ferdi, he's the REAL expert! But I think the Lasse Hallstrom 1986/1987 movies are JUST movies. There was a 1962 TV series of "Alla vi barn i Bullerbyn" however. Both the YTS and my release are the same movie, although I retimed "my" subtitles for the YTS version. I was just giving a torrent link because I came across it and some people do not eMule. A few months ago I did the same for "Alla vi barn..." 1986.
The 1962 TV version is all narration, no dialog. This makes international dubbing easy but it annoys me not to HEAR the children.

I can't call myself expert...simply have seen most Lindgren adaptioms (those which has been pirated)
Yes 1952 version is all narration but it is done by children

You have been "studying" Astrid Lindgren far longer and more intently than I have, and I have learned quite a bit from you about her works. That is expert enough for me!
True that at least the 1962 version is child-narrated. Catti Edfeldt is credited as the (main) narrator, and she was 12 at the time. A year ago I started an attempt to translate and correct some subtitles to English for the 1962 version. I gave up because the narration was boring and it was more interesting to watch the action and understand it well enough without the talk. The subtitles just made it a chore, which missed the point entirely!

Only subs available for 1962 version are Russian
Re: [REL] Mer om oss barn i Bullerbyn (1987)
Yes. Doing the corrections on machine-translation of Russian to English for Swedish videos got to be tedious. (It looks like I may have quit after episode 5 of 13, back in February 2023.) I am certainly grateful to the Russian(s) who took the effort to make the only subtitles in the first place! But I was able to enjoy the videos without subtitles and the work, so I did.
Maybe if SVT re-airs / streams online the series, they will get their fingers out their ass and make Swedish hearing-impaired subtitles. I do a better job working on Swedish-English than on Russian-English. (Mainly because of my brain-block in trying to read the Cyrillic alphabet.)
