[REL] Halloweentown (1998)

Since it's almost Halloween, and horror movies aren't really my thing... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0173886/
On her 13th birthday, Marnie learns she's a witch, discovers a secret portal and is transported to Halloweentown - a magical place where ghosts and ghouls, witches and werewolves live apart from the human world. But she soon finds herself battling wicked warlocks, evil curses and endless surprises
This is a lightweight but fun Disney TV movie. The production looks like it was done cheaply -- mostly no-name actors and campy costumes - but has gained enough fans to spawn three sequels. Kimberly Brown as Marnie is the main character but I also think Emily Roeske playing the younger sister is adorable.

This file is verified and sourced, but there are others on eMule (and in other languages too).

As you said, this is another one of those Disney Film series:

Here's the other three:

HalloweenTown II: Kalabar's Revenge (2001) [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0274761/ ]:

Halloweentown High (2004) [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414078/ ]:

Return to Halloweentown (2006) [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816520/ ]:

Seems to be less interesting as the years pass. The original [as is the case most of the time] was the best of the bunch. Thanks for posting, FLL!!

Agreed... the sequels look less interesting, as the kids get older or fade away (Emily Roeske pretty much disappears after #2 from what I've read). I have only seen the original, and usually don't release stuff I haven't seen, so I didn't mention the others, but I am glad you did. Since the second movie is on the same DVD as the first, I may make that this week's movie night pick.

You want to know the funniest thing... back in 1998 when it premiered, the reason I originally tuned in was to watch Debbie Reynolds :blush

Isn't Marnie played by the same girl who played the mean cousin in Ellen Foster? :icon_box2

Someone just upped all 4 films to TPB. http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7700469/ ... entown_1-4

I haven't down loaded this to check quality/legitimacy and its a new uploader but may be worth a look. Just giving the heads up for anyone interested. ;)

I have seen the first one and liked it. :)
