You asked for it lizard man. You got it. Thanks for bringing this film to my attention by the way. I set up a Canadian iTunes account using a Pizza Hut in Montreal as my shipping address and valid phone number, and I was good to go!

They only let you download the 720p version. But the 1080p stream is barely 1 GB larger, i.e. it's upconverted 720p. I used Requiem to strip the DRM from the download. For those unfamiliar with it, it's the only stripping tool I know of that does absolutely no re-encoding.

Juliette: 15 years old, the daughter of a distinguished judge of the Superior Court of Quebec who's currently presiding over the organized crime trial of feared gangster Réal Lamontagne. Roméo: 17, also from a well known family. He's the son of Réal Lamontagne. We all know where this is headed. The son of the defendant and the daughter of the judge fall in love. The only real question is, will these modern day starcrossed lovers fare any better than their literary namesakes? You'll have to watch and find out.

The talented and very cute Charlotte Aubin was only 14 when she appeared in this film, her debut role. They went to great (and not entirely successful) lengths to avoid showing too much of her at close range. Which seems silly, considering we see everything at a slight distance. Plus there's a rather ... intense love scene between the two leads. You'll see what I mean. Charlotte is one of the most gorgeous Juliets on film, at least imo.

As always with my own releases, subtitles are set to display automatically but they're not hard coded. If you speak French and don't need them you can always turn them off. For those who might be interested I have included both a 720p rip of the BTS featurette from the disc and the full DVD. Word of warning: the Making Of featurette has no subtitles, so if you don't speak French you won't understand the interview portions.
