Two girls: one lives with the father and the other with the mother. As they are twins they exchange their personalities and their parents do not notice it.They are trying to rebuild their family ,to reconcile them. This is the kind of stuff which might seem maudlin ,but Joseph Von Baky's treatment is pleasant, nay even interesting: the dreams scenes are the best as if the scenarists had read Bruno Bettelheim (whose book about fairy tales was yet to come).Germany was very fond at the time of those sentimental comedies .It was also Romy Schneider's debut and most of her films were of the same kind.

A nice HD upgrade of this with some good screencaps to tempt those that never knew this existed.

I never noticed it until you requested the sub file and didn't see any sources for any of katz' version. I'm certainly going for your version - nice quality and great screencaps. Thanks starfish.

Thanks Starfish for the upgrade. 8-)

There are several versions of this film that have been made over the years. A few German (Charlie & Louise), a Japanese, an American and of course all the Parent trap films, plus some Russian spin off of those. I believe most of these films are already here. If we are missing one let me know I may have it.

:D

I saw a hdtv rip listed on usenet a while back and I have the dvd, so if a rip is really needed i could add it to my list.

No subs...Sorry

It has original language 5.1 and is wide screen. I don't know what rips we have here but when I was looking for a copy the only rips I found were 4:3. So I bought the dvd and I do remember when I was searching seeing listed a hdtv rip on usenet, but I don't use that service. If you can't find the tvrip and what we have already here is not wide screen I will do a rip in the near future.
