Deadman - thanks for the DVD ISO. I'm working on an upscale!
I extracted the ISO. In virtualdub I've inverse telecined the horrible 29.97fps NTSC dvd to 23.976 film using it's ITC filter - and it looks amazing!! No flaws in the ITC process that I can see - but maybe Ghost should check it as he is good at spotting flaws!
Now uspcaling in Topaz to 1280x704 (not 720 as the film is a bit wider than 16:9).
Here's a sample clip - only 42 seconds

and a still:

I found this
https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtit ... -kisses-en
https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtit ... -kisses-en
https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtit ... -kisses-en
Actually, opensubs had quite a few. Here's all of them for English:

Edit:
also, deadman's ISO on page 1 includes subs.

Thanks! Got the first one and it's timed perfectly to the film without any adjustment! I've added the SRT into the mkv to save anyone having to do the same. It's uploading now. Will share the full thing later.

Ok, here it is - uploaded to Mega - if anyone can share into eMule. 1.8gb 720p AI upscale from the DVD Deadman provided. Subtitles are embedded into the mkv and timed. I used my new Handbrake 2-pass encoding technique that improves the picture quality and reduces the file size further than maybe some of my earlier encodes:
https://mega.nz/file/NJZgXBJa#V6JpEX31k ... rJI7W5HWA0
https://mega.nz/file/VYAB0CxI#slagEmpFu ... 8pOFnjCWcI
https://mega.nz/file/YUZD0AwS#rRq3DGOkL ... Fa49A6suuU
https://mega.nz/file/cMZXRbrB#ekq0X7TJL ... jaEJ1D7ib8
The picture is beautifully sharp if I say so myself In a few scenes there's a few bits of left-over mpeg blocking - but that was in the DVD source and Topaz couldn't remove it in several modes I tested. Mpg2 (the DVD) depending on the encoding setting can't do very well if "everything" is moving - epsecially when they try and fit films on DVD5s instead of DVD9s (5 vs 9gb dual-layer).
I can spot it a bit in the fake snow scene clip I uploaded before! But I'm 2 feet from a giant monitor! But often I point to stuff on DVD's and other people can't see it. So maybe you won't!

Bump - anyone got this and got any thoughts? Embarassingly I've not seen it all yet!

Are you in a hurry?Bump - anyone got this and got any thoughts? Embarassingly I've not seen it all yet!
I downloaded it, took a short view and it looked ok (not really a HD picture). I didn't keep it and didn't go deep in it, 'cause I'm not interested in this movie. Just to be honest.
