Doubtless this American remake will be seen by some as inferior to earlier versions........Pippi (Tami Erin) at thirteen is somewhat older & more 'robustly' built but the ginger hair & freckles remain. I'm still amazed the depiction of young girls cavorting around with stockings/suspenders/underwear still survived as late as 1988...........they were good times!

wow... i missed that post i'm currently downloading the badly shared swedish ones but it takes forever... i'm very interested in the english ones, because then i can ship them to my patinkind in Kenya... She'd love 'em (maybe not her parents^^)

This completes my HD collection of Pippi movies.

Comparing with the Swedish one this is quite silly but with reasonable big amount of beer or booze it isn't too painful.

I have never seen this film myself (Inger Nilsson fan I am) but for the interested, February 23 it is coming to blu-ray from Sony Pictures U.S. Typically they release Region ALL (ABC) but I have seen nothing to confirm this one either way.
