It is to be assumed that since this is originally in Russian it won't have that ghastly Russian voiceover.

It has original russian sound.

I was maybe sucessfull when translating speach, but particularly song texts, to another slavonic language, but I can not imagin translation eg. to English. In Czech, there are similar worlds, frogs produce the same sound "KVA" etc., but as I know, in English frogs produce something as "RAR". And song text use similar worlds as Kvasavica (Krasavica, Beauty), Quasimodo, Kvaruso (Caruso), bel kvanto (bel canto), Mos-KVA (Moscow) etc. Some such jokes can be naturally translated neither to Czech.

When reading description at http://lostmoviesarchive.com/movie.php?id=960, I shoud like to notify, that Thumbeline (princess of elves) lived in society of Frog (Zhaba) as wife of her son Zhabik, in the mouse hole (Mysh) with friend Krot (Mole) and finally had conflict with May beetles (lighting bug, firefly, glow-worm by my dictionary).

btw. Thumbelina is a well known fairy tale. I'm sure most if not all of us are familiar with it.

And how old are most of these rap singers, mentally?

On the other hand, the music from this film is very nice, but in the style of 19. century. Similarly, as in many other russian films. Hence with no chance to become world hits. Nevertheless, I personally prefer such music against rap.

Films of Leonid Nechayev are often inspired by some well known tale, but they do not draw out them exactly. In the original tale, there are no elves, but Thumbeline flies with swallow etc. Similarly as in "Krasnaya Shapochka", film draws out its own tale only inspired by the template.

"[REL] Novogodnie priklyucheniya Mashi i Viti 1975" is so far my favorite Russian movie music-wise.

I got Dyuymovochka several months ago, but I still haven't watched it. There have been just so many other nice movies to watch. Now I am getting interested, though, because "[REL] Pro Krasnuyu Shapochku - 1977" is IMO ingenious. Didn't know that Dyuymovochka was made by the same director...

The transfer works quite well, actually. Better than in case of many other users who have direct connection. Looks like there is one Czech guy with lots of bandwidth, who has been acting as a proxy. I have Nevesta and 3 Pan Tau episodes complete. Thanks

But it is a pitty, that russian film music stopped on that ancient form. There was beautifull clasical russian musical films like "Vesyolye Rebyata" (1934 - Merry Youngsters) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0025946/ with good jazz music (dixiland) and popular Eisenstein-like montage of the music struggle. But the Stalin censorship stopped it.
