This film has been anticipated at FLM for quite a while:Rachel (Mia Ford) is a young girl with a terrifying secret. She can see evil spirits within others. After witnessing the brutal killing of her mother, she and her father (Sam Jaeger) move to a small town hoping to put the shattered pieces of their lives back together. Although Rachel continues to be haunted by images from her past, she manages to forge a strong bond with her teacher (Lori Heuring) and becomes best friends with a peculiar classmate named Michelle (Sammi Hanratty).
Soon, things aren’t quite how they appear when Michelle’s seemingly innocent pranks turn potentially deadly, forcing Rachel to fear their friendship while looking right in the face of the malevolent spirits she sees.

That's because it sat unreleased on the shelf for two years. It had been well received at festivals but it was the director's first feature film and had only a $1M budget so apparently noone wanted to take a chance and release it, until finally it premiered on the Lifetime cable network. Thanks to kev for bring it to our attention!
The stars from a FLM perspective are <img src="http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/7066/imdb3.gif" border="0"> Sammi Hanratty and <img src="http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/7066/imdb3.gif" border="0"> Mia Ford. Both turn in excellent performances. Mia is so sweet!
Given the film's production history I wasn't expecting much, I am not a big fan of the genre anyway, but Sammi and Mia quickly won me over and I ended up loving it.

This file was ripped from Lifetime HD but is not a HDTV rip... I have no way to rip HD digitally so this is an old-fashioned lower quality TVRip. The logos and on-screen promos are annoying but they are much better than not having a release at all. This has likely been edited a bit for TV, IMDB says rated R but Lifetime says TV14.

Amazon.com lists the DVD as scheduled for release next month, but I don't see the DVD listed anywhere else and Amazon has been known to give false dates so who knows. If you want to catch it on TV you have (as of now) two more chances:
After its premiere, Within is slated for repeat airings such as August 15th 2010, Sunday at 7:00pm Eastern and Pacific time / 6:00pm Central Time, and in October for Lifetime Networks’ scheduling for Halloween.
