Charlie (Tori Spelling) works for a company that is taken over by Walcott (Greg Germann) who believes family values are a priority. Career-driven Charlie does a little fibbing when under the pressure of Walcott's standards, and believes she's in the clear. But when Walcott invites himself over for dinner, she borrows her friend's house and daughter (Abigail Breslin) and hires actor Buck (Jordan Bridges) to play her husband for the evening. The one-night "act" turns into a full-time gig when her boss decides to rent the house next door for the summer, forcing Charlie and Buck to stay together in the fake lifestyle she created.
Abigail Breslin plays Nicole, the "pretend" daughter of Tori Spelling's character. She has a couple of cute scenes in this ("she" being Abby, Tori plays the main character). I'd wanted to see this because Abigail Breslin & Chloe Moretz are both in the cast list but I'd be damned if Chloe Moretz is actually in it. She's listed in the credits as "Young Charlie" but I couldn't find any scenes with her at all. (You'd think if she had all her scenes deleted that they would've removed her from the cast list.) So this is really only for Abby fans :)

PS: Don't expect any gripping scenes with deep emotions. This is a very lite comedy that premiered on the Hallmark Channel.

Mine is exactly 1:24:33 so it appears to be the shorter one. I see now the two versions listed separately in Amazon.com and it looks like the longer one was released a few months later by a different distributor. I have no idea why there would be 2 different versions of this movie (it's not like there'd be an unrated "too hot for TV" type of cut of this film) so please let me know if you figure it out when you get it.

It just hit me the plot similarities to a new film which opens here in two weeks and is running commercials now.

This one:
she borrows her friend's house and daughter
Just Go with It (2011) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1564367/
A man enlists the help of a woman and her kids to land the woman of his dreams.
The commercials show Adam Sandler pretending the kids are his to impress a woman. The lead girl is 11 year old Bailee Madison, who has been supporting cast in several films (Bridge to Terabithia, Phoebe in Wonderland, etc.).

Coincidence or did the upcoming film remind you of this? Doesn't matter really, just curious. Now back to our regularly scheduled film already in progress ;)

I've heard of Just Go With It and actually want to see it but I don't think I put the two of them together. I just figured it was one of those typical plots that get recycled endlessly in Hollywood. Picture Perfect had a similar storyline and also starred Jennifer Aniston who is in Just Got With It too. :)

Nah, I'm just a big Chloe Moretz fan that's been looking for this movie off and on for a while. :blush
