Indeed. I still am not sure whether or not I have seen this before, so I don't know if I can recommend it or not. But since I now have at least 6 versions downloaded I probably SHOULD watch it sometime or another.

My guess is that Phuzzy's comments are spot on. I have seen plenty of 1960s & 70s leftist provocateur Japanese arty experimental films to know what to expect. At least the streaming version (one of many) will give people an idea of what it is like.

My issue with these artsy projects is often that the synopsis sounds interesting but then the actual film is just confusing/weird/makes no sense etc.

I look forward to hearing other people’s reviews about this film here.

Me too. I just checked, my folder with NINE versions is still in the "unwatched" portion of the drive.

I have plenty of experience with all kinds of patience-testing arty films (like the 13 hour Out 1 (1971)), so I know that leftist Japanese films can be particularly exasperating. At least this one is fairly short.

The synopsis sounds interesting with the protagonist‘s own trauma and how it affects his relationship.

How much hard drive space do you got that you can keep so many versions? :D

Lately I have been buying another 4Tb drive every 10 months or so. It is so much trouble to decide what to delete and what to keep, particularly when I have so many movies unwatched. That is the only way to be certain which version is "best"!

Yeah. I know the feeling..and we often hoard more than we actually consume of tv shows/films :D obviously 8tb and 10tb drives are cheaper when it comes to price per terabyte but I also often don’t want to take that big of an immediate investment..and if the drive fails 150-250€ are gone..
