Children of the Corn (1984)

When a young couple finds themselves stranded in the isolated community of Gatlin, Nebraska, they discover that all of the town's adults have been slaughtered by a religious cult of twisted children who worship a mysterious cornfield deity. Can these adults escape the fanatical wrath of these adolescent zealots, or will they become the next blood sacrifices to 'He Who Walks Behind The Rows?'

Linda Hamilton (Terminator) and Peter Horton (thirtysomething) star in this '80s horror hit that spawned five shocking sequels!

Not my rip, downloaded from UseNet in 2005. There are other versions of this movie on eMule (along with the sequels) but this is verified. I don't know why this was never released on FLM because there are lots of kids in it. :)

Ya know, this past year I started watching for the first time some Stephen King movies that I had skipped in the 1980's, and was amazed at how good they were. Like CUJO, that was awesome! Only one young boy in it, though. But he was great.

I had been thinking about CotC next, maybe because of some recent remake?? Anyway, it had never occurred to me that there were actually CHILDREN in it, despite the title. I figured it was all overaged twentysomething "teenagers" like in CARRIE for some reason. Holy crap, there are actual KIDS in this. I'm in. I'll watch it now, decades late.

Thanks emuler!
